SOAR uses a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach guided by trust-based relational intervention. Teens engage in evidence-based therapies such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), expressive arts, affect regulation, and pet therapy to grow emotionally and socially.

Reaching Independence through Support and Experience

Children’s Home’s RISE Program is a residential setting for male youth ages 16 to 21 who have faced challenges in former living arrangements. They use a sanctuary model of care and beign with a life skills assessment to determine how to best serve clients.

Clients live in a small, home-like group setting with 2:1 staff supervision. They earn level-based privileges, practice responsibilities like cooking and cleaning, and learn to manage their daily routines. This structured yet supportive environment mirrors aspects of transitional housing while offering a deeper level of care.
