About Buckelew Programs - Helen Vine Recovery Center & Sober Living Homes
This center in Marin County helps adults detox from drugs and alcohol in a safe, supportive setting. This short-term residential program serves people with limited income, including those with mental health needs. With 24-hour support, the center offers 30 to 90 days treatment plans that focus on healing, relapse prevention, and long-term recovery.
Build Skills That Anchor You
The program uses trauma-informed, evidence-based therapies to support each person’s journey. Services include individual and group counseling, substance use education, relapse prevention, wellness and life skills, and 12-Step meetings. Clients also take part in meditation and outdoor activities, with support from a strong recovery community and alumni mentors.
Feel at Home in Healing
Clients stay in a co-ed, community-style home with space for up to 30 adults. The center sits next to a peaceful nature preserve, perfect for therapeutic walks. After completing treatment, residents can continue recovery at sober living homes that offer affordable housing, peer support, and staff guidance for up to one year.

Center Overview

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT
Methadone
Naltrexone
Buprenorphine
This center accepts patients receiving MAT prescribed elsewhere for opioid use disorder, but does not provide MAT.
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
