About Taryn Strong Recovery Coaching
Based in Salt Spring Island, Taryn counsels women in the U.S. or Canada on their recovery journeys through an online platform. Her approach specializes in somatic body therapy, yoga, and aromatherapy. She is in long-term recovery from cocaine and crystal meth, trauma, an eating disorder, self-harm, and co-dependency.
Semi-Structured Coaching for 3 Weeks to 3 Months
Taryn has 2 treatment tracks. The Foundation track helps clients identify unhelpful patterns and work on the nervous system over 3 60-minute sessions. The Threshold track includes additional tools to restore confidence and develop habits for a substance-free life over a 3-month period, along with essential oils and additional counseling over WhatsApp. Clients can try the Foundation and continue onto the Threshold track if they want.
Retreats for Additional Healing
Taryn and her mom, PhD. Dawn Nickel, founded a group called the SHE RECOVERS Foundation to help women and non-binary find recovery from mental health or addiction challenges. Together, they host retreats in Salt Spring Island and in Ireland for clients from all over the world. They take the philosophy that "we're all recovering from something."
