About Pure Life
Pure Life takes a unique adventure therapy based approach to treating mental health challenges in adolescents and young adults. Their 12 week residential program located in Costa Rica uses a blend of individual and group therapy, life skills training, meditation, mindfulness, and adventure therapy activities to help young people heal. Their program addresses a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, body image, trauma, low self-esteem, and substance use.
From their unique location in Costa Rica, students have the opportunity to participate in several adventure therapy activities during the program. Some of these activities include surfing, whitewater rafting, hiking, and rappelling. In addition to these activities, clients participate in regular health and wellness based activities like yoga, fitness classes, and meditation sessions. To help ensure student safety while in the program, everyone participates in water rescue certification and wilderness first aid certification courses. The program features campus itineraries where students are at the base and adventure itineraries where they are often camping.
