Riverbend Incorporated (formerly Lowell House) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that serves clients with substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Their name comes from both their intention of serving clients through life's ebbs and flows and the nearby Merrimack River. Riverbend has gender-specific residential treatment, an outpatient clinic, sober living houses, and community services. They run member-driven peer recovery centers called "Recovery Cafés".Subsidized Care with MassHealth CoverageRiverbend receives funding from a combination of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, MassHealth Insurance, client fees, grants, and fundraising. They are able to offer some community services for free to treatment seekers.
