Hope is Alive

Hope is Alive (HIA) is a national nonprofit dedicated to radically changing the lives of people with substance use concerns and their families. At the heart of HIA’s mission is long-term, faith-centered recovery through intentional community and mentorship. Founded in Oklahoma and now serving dozens of cities across the country, HIA provides structured sober-living homes for men and women, where residents commit to an 18-month discipleship-based recovery program. Residents live together, build accountability, and take part in a comprehensive system of support that addresses mind, body, and spirit, guiding participants from early sobriety into long-term transformation. With a strong foundation in Christian values, HIA believes that recovery happens best when people are surrounded by hope, purpose, and authentic relationships.Programs Supporting Families and CommunitiesHope is Alive’s impact extends beyond sober living through several outreach and support programs. Finding Hope is a support group for loved ones of those battling addiction, offering practical tools and emotional encouragement in a safe, faith-based setting, with meetings in 12 cities across the country. For those grieving the loss of someone to substance use, Hope After Loss provides a path forward through shared experience and healing-focused resources. HIA also partners with school systems through its School Support Programs, offering addiction awareness education and peer-led support to students navigating the challenges of mental health and family addiction. Through live events, inspirational storytelling, and a growing online community, Hope is Alive remains committed to spreading hope and recovery across generations.
