Priory Beacon House

For adults who don't need hospital-based care, Priory Beacon House offers a more home-like, affordable alternative to traditional inpatient rehab in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. Part of Priory's national network, this 17-bed service treats alcohol, drug, and behavioral addictions through its therapy-led residential Flourish program, delivered in a non-medical environment. If detox is needed first, it can be arranged at another Priory location before admission.

Practice Coping Skills Through Immersive Therapy

Priory Beacon House tailors treatment using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed therapy, group therapy, psychoeducation, creative therapies, and virtual reality (VR) exposure therapy. Using immersive VR technology, clients safely practice coping with cravings and triggers in realistic social or stressful situations before returning home. The program also supports neurodivergent and high-functioning clients and treats gambling, gaming, social media and internet use, shopping, exercise, pornography, sex and love addiction, and work addiction.

Build Life Skills in a Home-Like Setting

Treatment begins with a minimum 14-day stay, and residents can continue into later stages based on their goals, though many benefit from the first stage alone. Throughout, they share daily routines, shop for groceries, plan meals, and cook together using a provided food budget. The program includes community outings, and eligible clients may bring a pet following an individual assessment.

Stay Supported During and After Treatment

Family involvement is central at Beacon House. Therapists stay in close contact with loved ones and facilitate a joint session, while clients staying 28 days or more receive a dedicated 1-day family programme and weekly family support groups. After a stay of 14 days or more, clients also gain 12 months of free online aftercare with weekly Zoom groups, plus Recovery 360, a digital tool that pairs a Bluetooth breathalyser with a tracking app and optional monitoring by Priory specialists.
