About Peer Support Space
Peer Support Space is a Central Florida-based nonprofit providing nonclinical, peer-led mental health and substance use support designed by and for those with lived experience. Rooted in values of inclusion, harm reduction, and cultural humility, it offers a judgment-free alternative to traditional mental health systems—especially for underserved communities including LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and neurodivergent individuals.
The organization hosts over 75 free monthly peer-led gatherings, offers one-on-one peer support, and runs Eva’s Casita—the first LGBTQ-led peer respite center in the region. Their approach prioritizes self-determination, shared understanding, and accessibility, empowering individuals to define their own healing journey.
What sets Peer Support Space apart is its commitment to authentic, community-driven care. By centering voices often marginalized in mainstream systems and focusing on connection over clinical labels, they create safe spaces for people to be seen, heard, and supported exactly as they are.
