About Waterloo Counseling Center
Located just outside of Blunn Creek Nature Preserve, Waterloo Counseling Center provides outpatient mental health counseling for individuals 15 and older. They focus on LGBTQIA+ clients and people living with HIV/AIDS. Clients can attend in-person sessions at the South Austin office or use secure telehealth anywhere in Texas. They treat trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, self-esteem concerns, identity exploration, relationship problems, and concerns related to living with HIV/AIDS.
Individual, Family, and Group Therapy
Clients can receive individual therapy, couples counseling, family counseling, therapist-led group therapy, assessment, diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning. Therapists work with clients to set treatment goals and address specific concerns. Couples and family sessions may focus on communication, boundaries, disagreements, and understanding each person's needs. They also offer free non-clinical peer-led groups. Adults can request healthcare letters for HRT, surgery, name changes, gender-marker changes, and disability needs.
