About Transitional Age Youth Clinic
A behavioral health clinic for young adults ages 17 to 25, Transitional Age Youth Clinic provides mental health and substance use care for clients who have Medi-Cal or are uninsured. They also help clients and their supporting persons access and navigate services. Eligibility, including age ranges, varies by program.
Therapy, Medication, and Care Coordination
They provide assessments, crisis services, individual and group therapy, peer support, case management, and medication treatment. Case managers assess needs, coordinate care, and connect clients with other services. Transitional Age Youth Clinic also offers dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skill groups for behavioral health concerns. Black/African American behavioral health professionals provide culturally congruent care for Black/African American clients.
Drop-In and Community Outreach
Existing clients can use drop-in hours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. They can rest, get snacks, pick up clothing and hygiene supplies, join wellness group activities, and use available computers. The Mobile Outreach team meets people in shelters and homes for crisis intervention, therapy, and care coordination. Staff speak English and Spanish, and they provide interpreter services for other languages.
