About Touch of Wholeness
This center provides outpatient therapy for children, adults, couples, and families facing trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, and other mental health challenges. Services are available in person in Matteson and Chicago, as well as through telehealth. Their care is culturally attuned with a strong commitment to serving underserved communities. Their predominantly African American staff offers culturally competent care that helps African American clients connect on a deeper level.
Counseling Focused on Real-Life Progress
Their approach combines compassionate care with evidence-based treatment. Licensed psychologists, therapists, and social workers offer individual therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness practices, and stress management techniques. This whole-person approach supports emotional balance, healthier thinking patterns, and stronger coping skills that clients can use in daily life.
Educational Advocacy and Support
The center also offers EP/504 special education support to help families navigate school services for children with disabilities. Clinicians collaborate with schools and case managers to assist with IEPs and 504 plans. Clients can also choose therapists who match their cultural background and personal preferences.
