Located south of Golden Gate Park, Sunset Mental Health Center serves people of all ages at its 24th Avenue clinic and runs specialized behavioral health programs for San Francisco residents. They serve people with low incomes, including those who are uninsured or have or qualify for Medi-Cal, Medi-Medi, Healthy Families/Kids, Healthy Workers, or Healthy SF. They do not accept drop-in visits.

Clinical Services and Care

They conduct assessments and evaluations, crisis services, individual and group therapy, case management, medication support, and wellness activities. Case managers assess needs, coordinate care, and connect clients with other services. The Wellness Recovery program also runs multiple groups 3 days a week at the main location on 41st Ave. to build social skills, reduce isolation, and involve clients in meaningful activities.

Outreach and Language Access

The Mobile Outreach Team works with people who have complex needs or difficulty attending scheduled appointments. Team members meet clients where they are and help them connect or reconnect with clinic services. Staff speak English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish, and Russian, and they provide additional language support through a phone translation service.
