About PCC - Shelby Outpatient Office
The Shelby Outpatient Office provides mental health and substance use treatment for adults and adolescents. Services include individual, group, and family counseling. The Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) supports ages 13 and up, while the more structured Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment (SACOT) is for adults 18 and older. Both programs help individuals develop healthy habits and support networks for recovery.
Develop Habits that Support Long-term Health
Treatment focuses on reducing substance use, improving daily life skills, and building better relationships. Support is also available for people with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or both. The center includes education, relapse prevention, and crisis planning to help each person stay on track with recovery. Services are designed to meet different needs in a respectful and inclusive way.
Follow a Steady Routine for Healing
Each day includes counseling, skill-building, and support activities. SACOT meets 4 hours a day on weekdays, while SAIOP meets 3 hours a day several times a week. People take part in group discussions, one-on-one sessions, and other activities that follow a regular schedule. The goal is to create a safe and structured space for personal growth and long-term recovery.
