About Pawnee Mental Health Services Marysville
Serving a 10-county region in Kansas, Pawnee Mental Health Services supports children, adolescents, and adults with mental health and substance use conditions, including serious mental illness (SMI), serious emotional disturbances (SED), depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, and opioid and alcohol addiction. Clients also include families and individuals involved in the justice system. The center has outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and community-based programs in clinics, schools, homes, and community settings.
Care for Mental Health and Substance Use
Pawnee Mental Health provides medication management, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), psychiatric evaluation, non-medical social detox, and telemedicine services. Their IOP is a 4-6-week program with 10+ hours of therapy per week. Clients participate in individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), motivational interviewing (MI), trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), and parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT).
Community Programs and Recovery Support
Youth community services (YCS) supports children with SED through school-based services, crisis intervention, skills and independent living training, parent support and training, respite care, and wraparound facilitation. Adult community services (ACS) offers case management, benefits management, psychosocial rehabilitation, peer support, and assertive community treatment (ACT), providing coordinated clinical, housing, medication, and crisis support. Individual placement and support (IPS) helps clients with employment through job search, employer engagement, and benefits counseling.
