About Pathways Behavioral Services Children's Mental Health - Waverly
Focused exclusively on outpatient mental health care for children and adolescents, the Children’s Mental Health Building serves as Pathways Behavioral Services’ dedicated youth facility in Waverly, separate from their nearby adult office. Therapists address anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral concerns, and challenges at home or school through individual, family, and parent-child therapy. Parents and caregivers take part in treatment to improve communication, strengthen relationships, an support progress at home, while the playful, welcoming setting makes care more approachable for younger clients.
Build Skills Through Age-Appropriate Care
The team uses play and art therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), parent-child interactive therapy, and trauma-focused approaches to help clients express difficult feelings, develop coping skills, and better manage emotions and behavior. Eligible clients age 20 and younger can also receive Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS), adding practical skill-building for relationships, behavior, and daily functioning. Pathways also provides services in area schools, carrying support beyond therapy sessions into the settings where young clients learn, interact, and manage everyday challenges.
