About Onsite - IOP
Guiding people back to hope, this intensive outpatient program provides structured treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression, stress, and trauma. Milestones - IOP in Nashville combines intensive clinical care with experiential therapies for people who need more support than weekly counseling or are transitioning from residential treatment. Clients attend three three-hour group sessions and one 90-minute individual session each week. Clinicians typically plan eight weeks of care and adjust the schedule to each client’s goals, current stressors, treatment history, and transition needs.
Explore Patterns Through Therapy
Individual therapists use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), brainspotting, and internal family systems (IFS) to address distressing memories, emotional patterns, and trauma-related physical responses. Group sessions incorporate dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), experiential exercises, and psychodrama to build insight and strengthen coping skills. Somatic therapy, breathwork, mindfulness, yoga, sound baths, body work, and expressive writing help clients practice body awareness, regulate stress, focus attention, and process emotions.
Continue Care Beyond Treatment
Clients may invite a partner, parent, sibling, or close friend to participate in a family session. Before discharge, the team also connects clients with local providers and resources to support continued care after treatment. The program’s flexible schedule also allows clients to continue work, care for their families, and meet other daily responsibilities while receiving treatment.
