Located in downtown Norfolk, this outpatient center serves children, teens, adults, couples, and families with mental health care, drug and alcohol treatment, medication management, peer support, and in-home family services. Care includes telehealth for medication management, bilingual counseling, and a Medicaid-approved dual diagnosis adolescent intensive outpatient program (IOP) serving Northeast Nebraska.

Christian Approach With Evidence-Based Care

Care reflects a Christian perspective but also uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for those who prefer a nonspiritual approach. Therapies such as Brainspotting, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Child-Parent Relationship Therapy, and Experiential Play Therapy help individuals build coping skills, process emotional challenges, strengthen relationships, and improve daily functioning.

Free Mentoring And Classes

The center also offers the Befriend Mentoring Program, which pairs at-risk individuals and families with church-based mentors. Clients can participate in peer support one-on-one or in groups, as well as therapy groups focused on relapse prevention, money management, parenting, and specialty topics offered at different times. Additionally, Befriend and the Kopin’ Kidz class are free, improving access to care.
