About North Homes Children and Family Services - Bemidji
Supporting Northern Minnesota communities since 1990, North Homes Children and Family Services offers outpatient behavioral health care in Bemidji for children, teens, adults, and families. Patients receive individualized care designed to meet them wherever they are in their recovery. Their assessment and counseling services address patients’ mental health concerns, while outpatient substance use disorder treatment supports adolescents and adults, including those with co-occurring conditions. Their Safe Harbor program also supports teens and young adults up to age 24 who have experienced or are at risk of human trafficking and exploitation.
Address Mental Health and Daily Needs
North Homes Children and Family Services helps patients understand their needs through assessment and counseling, individual and family therapy, and substance use treatment. Adults can also access Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS), which help them manage mental health symptoms and build skills for independent living. Adult and youth Targeted Case Management (TCM) connects patients with services and resources based on their needs. They also have school-based mental health services, bringing therapists into area schools to help students address emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns.
Connect with a Wider Network of Care
Patients and families can access additional North Homes programs as their needs change. Safe Harbor connects teens and young adults affected by sexual exploitation or human trafficking with advocacy, resources, and support. Foster care and adoption services help children and families through placement, reunification, and permanency. Teens who need a higher level of care can access North Homes’ residential programs at separate locations, where treatment includes 24-hour supervision and therapeutic support. This wider continuum gives patients and families access to different levels of care within the same organization.
