About Mirror - Wichita Outpatient Office and Assessment Center
Located west of Hyde Park, Mirror's Wichita Outpatient Office and Assessment Center treats adults and adolescents with drug and alcohol addiction through individual and group counseling. Clients attend scheduled sessions while continuing to live at home, work, or attend school. Located at 236 S. Pattie Street, they operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with additional appointments available by arrangement.
Individual Counseling and Substance Use Assessments
Counselors work with clients to identify substance use concerns, assess individual strengths, and determine treatment needs. They conduct driving under the influence (DUI) evaluations, court-mandated assessments, professional assessments, and jail assessments. These evaluations help determine appropriate treatment options and address legal or professional requirements. Mirror also offers intensive outpatient treatment, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), telehealth, and aftercare across its organization.
Insurance Coverage and Payment Options
They accept Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Medicaid, and Ambetter. Medicaid coverage includes Healthy Blue, UnitedHealthcare, and Sunflower/Cenpatico plans. Grant funding may cover treatment for eligible uninsured or underinsured clients. Clients can contact the outpatient office for counseling or the assessment center for evaluations. The outpatient format allows clients to attend treatment sessions without entering residential care.
Center Overview

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT
Methadone
Naltrexone
Buprenorphine
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
