About Mid Atlantic Rehabilitation Services Allentown
Operating across Lehigh and Northampton Counties, Mid-Atlantic Rehabilitation Services (MARS) provides substance use and behavioral health services through hospitals, schools, jails, outpatient, and virtual settings. Clients include adolescents, adults, families, and justice-involved individuals seeking support for substance use disorders (SUD). Individuals access care through referrals from schools, hospitals, courts, and community-based systems at different points in treatment.
Treatment Services and Therapies
Clients receive intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient (OP), and telehealth treatment, including individual, group, couples, and family counseling. The center uses cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI), along with psychoeducation, relapse prevention, and coping skills development. Specialized services include women’s trauma-informed groups, Hispanic programs delivered in Spanish, adolescent-focused treatment, and gambling-related counseling when available.
Care Coordination and Support Systems
The center coordinates care across multiple programs and settings. Case managers support housing, employment, insurance, transportation, and basic needs, while certified recovery specialists (CRS) and certified family recovery specialists (CFRS) provide peer-based recovery support. Additional services include the hospital outreach stabilization team (HOST) for treatment placement, the student assistance program (SAP), jail-based SUD assessments and groups, and BIPOC case management to address disparities in access and outcomes.
