Merakey Georgian Place

Supporting adults with serious mental illness in building stability and staying connected to community life, Merakey Georgian Place is an intensive community-based Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) center. They serve adults whose psychiatric symptoms, medication needs, repeated crises, or difficulty maintaining safe and stable housing require coordinated support beyond standard outpatient care.

Build Stability through Team Care

Their ACT team provides therapy, medication assistance, case management, crisis planning, rehabilitation, and connections to housing, benefits, healthcare, and community resources. By coordinating these services, they help adults stay engaged in treatment, manage symptoms more consistently, strengthen daily routines, and remain safely connected to their communities.

Extend Care beyond the Clinic

Located along Georgian Place, this center is part of Merakey, a nonprofit dedicated to helping people, families, and communities. Merakey began in Philadelphia in 1969 as The Northwest Center, later became NHS Human Services, and has grown into a multi-state provider serving 12 states across behavioral health, autism, addiction recovery, intellectual and developmental disability, education, foster care, aging, and veteran services. At this Somerset location, they help reduce treatment barriers and support a steadier path toward recovery, independence, and continued community living.
