About CT Renaissance LYNC
CT Renaissance’s Linking Youth to Natural Communities (LYNC) is a program for court-involved youth and their families. LYNC is a referral only program and referrals can be submitted by the local juvenile probation office. LYNC focuses on connecting youth and their families to community agencies and natural supports. They offer several services including care coordination, case management, education and vocational services, transportation, and more. Youth can participate in cognitive behavioral therapy group interventions along with short-term individual and family sessions.
LYNC offers group-based treatment where they teach life skills, reasoning and rehabilitation, and job readiness. They use EMPLOY, which is a curriculum taught over 8 sessions and helps youth develop vocational skills. They also use the Seeking Safety counseling model, which is present-focused and helps individuals attain safety from trauma and addiction. In addition, LYNC offers a tailored support group for girls ages 12-18 years old that integrates relationship theory, resiliency practices, and skills training.
The program hours are Monday-Thursday 10AM-7PM, Friday 10AM-6PM, and Saturday 8:30AM-12PM with bilingual services available.
