JEVS Human Services Mental Health Services

Located along Ashton Road, near the Social Security Administration, the center serves adults in Philadelphia with behavioral health needs, including serious mental illness, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and prior justice involvement. It offers outpatient care, residential housing, and community-based support focused on therapy, psychiatric care, and skill development to help clients manage symptoms, build coping skills, and work toward independence in a stable environment.

Services and Therapies

Services include individual and family therapy, psychiatric treatment, and evidence-based approaches such as prolonged exposure therapy (PET) for trauma and cognitive enhancement therapy (CET) for cognitive and social recovery. Certified peer specialists (CPS) provide one-on-one guidance through recovery planning and relationship-building, while clients also participate in mental health education groups and life skills training designed to strengthen coping strategies and support daily functioning.

Residential Homes and Structured Support

Residential homes house up to six adults and offer structured assistance with cooking, budgeting, and medication management while encouraging participation in neighborhood programs and appointments. Structured day programs combine therapy, coping skills training, and wellness activities, providing consistent support particularly beneficial for justice-involved clients who need routine and guidance as they work toward stability and community reintegration.
