About Jessie Crawford Recovery Center
Founded in 2012 by James Crawford to address a shortage of sober housing, Jessie Crawford Recovery Center is a nonprofit that combines addiction treatment, peer support, and practical services for people rebuilding their lives. Based at 2801 International Lane, Suite 205 in Madison, Wisconsin, the center provides outpatient care and operates sober living homes for men and women recovering from substance use, including those transitioning from incarceration. They help clients address both their treatment needs alongside challenges including housing, employment, and daily living.
Provide Outpatient Treatment and Counseling
The center offers individual and group counseling, an intensive outpatient program (IOP), family services, and substance use and mental health assessments. They use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed approaches to help clients manage emotions, develop coping skills, and address co-occurring mental health concerns. Peer support, case management, and referrals for medication-assisted treatment connect clients with additional help when needed.
Build Life Skills and Community Connections
The center operates sober living homes with separate accommodations for men and women. Residents follow house rules, share daily responsibilities, and connect with peers in a substance-free environment. For people leaving incarceration, they also provide job readiness assistance, life skills training, and referrals to community resources. The organization operates a separate medically monitored residential treatment center at 131 Clarmar Drive in Sun Prairie for clients who need more structured care.
