A behavioral health program within an LGBTQ+ community organization, Empower Behavioral Health offers outpatient therapy, medication-assisted treatment (MAT), HIV/STI testing & prevention, recovery housing placement, and harm reduction services in one setting. They distribute naloxone and fentanyl test strips and continue to expand access to harm reduction tools with the implementation of vending machines. Individuals can also access recovery groups, peer support, and contingency management through Empower Behavioral Health.

Therapy and Recovery Programming

Empower Behavioral Health provides individual, family, and group therapy for people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use concerns. Therapists conduct 1-to-1 counseling sessions, while group sessions allow participants to discuss shared experiences with peers. Recovery programming includes peer support services and 12-Step meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous, Crystal Meth Anonymous, Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous, and SMART Recovery.

Case Management and Prevention Services

At Empower Behavioral Health case managers can help coordinate healthcare access, insurance and benefit enrollment, housing referrals, and community resource connections. Clients can receive HIV/STI testing and prevention education, participate in contingency management programming, and access recovery housing placement services. Prevention efforts also include harm reduction outreach, naloxone distribution, and fentanyl test strip access.
