Specializing in helping youth navigate emotional and behavioral challenges, Daybreak Treatment Center of Tennessee provides mental health care for children, teens, and their families in a structured setting focused on building practical skills for everyday life. Their multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, and educational specialists develops individualized treatment plans to address anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, impulsive or self-harming behaviors, mood swings, family conflict, school difficulties, and other emotional, mental, and behavioral health concerns.

Evidence-Based Care and Family Involvement

Treatment includes individual, group, and family therapy alongside evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Children and teens practice emotional regulation, distress tolerance, healthy communication, and problem-solving skills that can be applied at home, at school, and in daily life. Parent education and phone coaching helps families reinforce the skills introduced during treatment and support continued progress outside the program.

Structured Support for Adolescent and Families

For adolescents who need more support that traditional outpatient therapy, the partial hospitalization (PHP) or day treatment program combines DBT skills training, medication management, and problem-solving groups, and team consultations within a structured weekday schedule. Daybreak Treatment Center of Tennessee’s adolescent partial hospitalization program (PHP) is certified by the DBT-Linehan Board of Certification and uses dialectical behavioral therapy to help children and teens manage intense emotions, replace unhelpful behaviors with effective coping skills, and make healthier, more responsible decisions in everyday life.
