Cognizant Behavioral Health Services - Chadds Ford

Located northeast of Karver Lake, Cognizant Behavioral Health Services provides outpatient psychiatry and counseling for adults and adolescents with depression, anxiety, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). They serve Delaware County through in-person and telemedicine appointments. Hours run Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Psychiatric Care and Specialized Treatments

Clinicians conduct psychiatric evaluations, manage medications, and provide individual, couples, and family therapy. ADHD assessments include clinical interviews and computerized Test of Variables of Attention (T.O.V.A.) testing. Adults with treatment-resistant depression may qualify for transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) or supervised Spravato (esketamine) treatment. Follow-up visits allow clinicians to monitor symptoms, review medication effects, and adjust treatment based on each patient's response.

Flexible Appointments and Payment Options

Patients attend scheduled appointments while continuing work, school, and family responsibilities. Telemedicine allows eligible patients to receive psychiatric care or counseling remotely. They accept several insurance plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Highmark, Medicare, TRICARE, and UnitedHealthcare. Medicaid is not accepted. Self-pay rates include $300 for initial psychiatric evaluations, $250 for initial psychological evaluations, and $150 for medication management follow-ups and T.O.V.A. testing.
