About CODAC Behavioral Healthcare - Royal Little Drive
As part of one of Rhode Island's longest-standing recovery organizations, this program brings substance use treatment, mental health care, medical services, gambling counseling, and wellness support together in one place. At CODAC, clients can meet with counselors, medical providers, and psychiatric professionals through a coordinated treatment plan that evolves with their needs. By keeping care connected, the program helps individuals focus on improving their health while managing the demands of everyday life.
Receive Care for Complex Recovery Needs
Services support adults with substance use disorders, opioid dependence, gambling concerns, and co-occurring mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and bipolar disorder. CODAC combines counseling, medication-assisted treatment, psychiatric services, tobacco cessation support, health screenings, and on-site hepatitis C treatment within the same system of care. This integrated model allows clients to address physical health, emotional well-being, and recovery needs together, reducing gaps between services and creating a more seamless treatment experience.
Move Forward With Practical Support
A typical week may involve meeting with a counselor, checking in with a medical or psychiatric provider, attending a group session, or working with staff to access healthcare, housing, or other community resources. Treatment plans are tailored to individual goals and adjusted as needs change over time. Through coordinated clinical care, wellness services, and ongoing support, CODAC helps clients manage symptoms, improve their health, strengthen support networks, and build routines that support everyday functioning and long-term well-being.

Supportive Medication for Recovery
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) is an evidence-based approach that pairs FDA-approved medications with counseling to treat addiction. The medications are used to reduce cravings, ease withdrawal symptoms, or block the effects of substances. More about MAT
Methadone
Naltrexone
Buprenorphine
Note: Treatment centers offer different forms of MAT—such as oral tablets, dissolvable films, or monthly injections—and their policies can vary based on state regulations, provider preferences, and insurance coverage. Because of these differences, it's best to contact the center directly to learn what options are available and what might be right for your situation.
