Located on McLean Hospital’s historic main campus, the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Services helps young people ages 6 to 19 with mental health concerns like anxiety, OCD, depression, bipolar disorder, and executive dysfunction difficulties. The Belmont campus offers onsite parking and is accessible via MBTA, making it convenient for families across the area.

Strengthen Emotional Resilience

McLean’s Child and Adolescent Outpatient Services use a collaborative, evidence-based approach that includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and exposure therapy. Patients receive individual and group therapy, medication management when needed, and personalized treatment plans developed with input from families and community providers.

Build Skills For Daily Life

The clinic features the McLean Anxiety Mastery Program (MAMP), an intensive outpatient track that delivers accelerated CBT and exposure therapy for youth with anxiety and OCD. Weekly family sessions, psychoeducation, and skills groups are also provided, helping young people make fast progress while staying connected to home and school.
