About Kansas City Indian Center Morningstar Program
Designed for American Indians and Native American families in the Missouri area, Kansas City Indian Center supports clients facing alcohol and substance use concerns. Care includes outpatient treatment, supported recovery, therapeutic interventions, case management, follow-up care, and outreach. Counseling is also available by telephone or telemedicine for clients who need someone to talk to.

Kansas City Indian Center focuses on helping clients and their families build a plan for recovery and adjust to life free of chemical dependency. Clients can access community services, practical education, and connection to needed resources. The program supports healthy lifestyle choices, wellness habits, decision-making skills, and positive activities.
Culturally Appropriate Care
Kansas City Indian Center Morningstar Outreach Program uses culturally appropriate care for Native Americans, focusing on connection to traditional activities. The program offers cultural activities, youth prevention programming, and outreach to families and the wider community. Clients can also join Morningstar White Bison Wellbeing 12-Step weekly meetings online through Zoom on Thursdays at 6 p.m. and welcome all recovery groups.
