Building Beginnings
About Building Beginnings
Located in Spanish Fork, this nonprofit offers a comprehensive six-month intensive outpatient program (IOP) for men recovering from substance use. They provide affordable sober living, treatment, non-court ordered, and court ordered assessments. The center emphasizes daily accountability and practical support through shared living, work, and treatment. Small group sessions and weekly individual therapy are included to ensure personalized care.
Healing Pain, Finding a New Purpose
Services include group therapy limited to 14 participants, weekly individual therapy, patient case management, and assessments. Therapists focus on healing pain and trauma while strengthening relationships. Patients can cultivate a stronger sense of identity and purpose through a framework built on five guiding principles through the shadow self, awakening, spirituality, love and relationships, and purpose and meaning.
Supportive Community and Stable Structure
The center emphasizes self-sufficiency by providing meaningful employment to help cover treatment costs and offering transportation to jobs and services. Their supportive, family-like community, created by living and working together, gives patients structure and a sense of purpose.
