Brazos Valley Council on Alc and SA (BVCASA)

This non-profit center supports both adults and adolescents ages 13-17 by offering substance use screenings, outpatient treatment, and a residential transitional treatment center with a structured therapeutic community. Psychoeducation With Ongoing 12-Step Participation Support

Their adult outpatient care uses the Matrix model, featuring eight weeks of evening groups, psychoeducation, and 12-Step participation. Their women-focused track serves individuals who are pregnant, have children in foster care, or have children under 18, and features separate process groups. Their Youth Reach program uses the Cannabis Youth Treatment (CYT) curriculum, incorporating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational enhancement therapy (MET), and process groups. They also offer parent education and in-home visits when appropriate.

Justice-Involved Adults Receive Transition Support Services

For justice-involved adults, their transitional treatment center uses a therapeutic community model. Their Supportive Outpatient Continuum of Care (SOCC) program offers nine months of outpatient aftercare, which includes seeking safety, peer support, and required 12-Step involvement. Their education classes include standardized DWI, DOEP, Choices Not Chances, and Sobering Facts. Their insurance and grant options help eligible patients access care.
