Amae Health - Brooklyn delivers precision medicine and integrated care for complex mental health conditions across every stage of recovery, combining advanced science, clinical excellence, and compassionate design. At their beautifully designed outpatient center, clinicians work closely with each patient to unlock lasting recovery for bipolar, schizophrenia, personality disorders, suicidality, first-episode psychosis, and related complex conditions.

Build Stability With a Psychiatry-Led Approach

Amae Health’s psychiatric team works closely with the full care team—primary care physicians, nurses, social workers, and therapists—to ensure that all aspects of a patient’s care are coordinated and integrated. With the team’s support, their psychiatrists develop a medication plan, monitor the effectiveness and side effects of medications, and make adjustments to the medication regimen. In addition, their psychiatrists provide therapy and other forms of support to help patients improve their overall well-being.

Make Steady Progress with Whole-Person Care

Amae’s multidisciplinary team takes the time to understand each patient’s needs and tailor treatment to address them as a whole person. Beyond psychiatry, each care plan includes:

  • Individual therapy to change thought patterns and behaviors, learn to regulate emotions, and improve relationships
  • Group sessions to share experiences, learn coping skills, and develop a sense of community
  • Health coaching to improve fitness, sleep, and nutrition
  • Primary care for physical health and comorbidity management
  • Life skills training and vocational support

Match Level of Care to Needs and Goals

Amae Health offers day treatment (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) that provide more support than traditional outpatient therapy, while maintaining the patient’s ability to sleep at home and continue essential daily responsibilities. The right level of care depends on each patient’s unique situation: day treatment provides greater structure with 3-5 hours of care, 5 days per week, while IOP offers more flexibility, meeting 2-3 days per week.
