Treating Depression When Medication Falls Short

Care starts with a psychiatric evaluation. From there, patients may get medication management, talk therapy, or both. Therapy may use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches. For depression that hasn't improved with standard medication, this office offers transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) and Spravato, a nasal spray form of ketamine given at the clinic. TMS uses magnetic pulses to stimulate the parts of the brain tied to mood. The Naples office also offers concierge psychiatry, with longer visits and more direct access to a provider. Advanced Psychiatric Health accepts many insurance plans, including Medicare, Aetna, Cigna, Florida Blue, Humana, and UnitedHealthcare.
