About OASIS Ascent Millcreek
Located in scenic Millcreek, overlooking the wasatch Mountains, Oasis Ascent offers residential and day treatment for teens ages 13-17 with behavioral health concerns, including mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, personality disorders, suicidal ideation, substance use, and more. Day treatment runs from 8 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday, typically lasting 8-12 weeks. Oasis works with many private insurance providers, but is typically out-of-network.
Teens often come to Oasis in crisis, and psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners work with teens to prescribe and manage medications, helping to stabilize mental health concerns. Oasis Ascent administers psychological assessments to help better understand clients mental health needs. Treatment takes a dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) approach including 1 hour per week of individual therapy. Staff lead group therapy to build a supportive community and equip clients with life skills. Family therapy focuses on family dynamics and communication, as well as helping families best support teens in treatment. Recreational therapy—such as sports, hiking, skiing and yoga—creative therapies, like art and music, and service opportunities complement clinical treatment.
OASIS Ascent offers an accredited on-site school with a structured academic schedule and individualized learning support based on students' needs.
