About North Cottage Program
Located in Norton, Massachusetts, North Cottage Program helps adult men recover from substance addiction. It offers two levels of care: a short-term Intensive Treatment Program and a longer Halfway House phase. The center serves men 18 or older who want to live drug- and alcohol-free lives and welcomes individuals from all backgrounds across the state of Massachusetts.
North Cottage uses both individual and group therapy to support recovery. Residents meet with a counselor weekly and attend daily group sessions. They also join self-help meetings like AA and NA. The center offers help with health, legal, housing, and job needs. Education and life skills classes support long-term recovery.
Men live on-site in a safe, supportive setting. During treatment, they cannot work or have overnight passes. The center offers healthy activities like softball, reading, and using the local library. Everyone follows a structured plan and stays in the same unit through both phases of care. Recreation helps build community and routine.
