The Joint Commission accreditation is a voluntary, objective process that evaluates and accredits healthcare organizations (like treatment centers) based on performance standards designed to improve quality and safety for patients. About Next Step Recovery
Next Step Recovery is a men’s-only intensive outpatient program (IOP) with optional sober living and transitional housing options located in the beautiful city of Asheville, North Carolina. Next Step provides an ideal transition for men ages 18-40 who have completed a residential program, are fresh out of recovery, or have complicated addiction histories involving numerous relapses. Notably, all of the programs are designed for men to also attend to their work responsibilities if needed. Their IOP program employs a 3-pronged strategy that combines rigorous group therapy, 1-on-1 counseling, and 12-Step recovery. Residents will also have the opportunity to participate in adventure therapy activities like hiking, rafting, and exploring as well as martial arts, meditation, and yoga.
At Next Step Recovery, they give both addiction and mental illness the care required—treating them as distinct but connected problems. Their objective is to give every client the help, resources, and therapy they require to get past the difficulties brought on by their dual illness and build a life they can be proud of.
Sober living and transitional housing is not required, but offered. Each patient must decide whether they think they will benefit from a sober living environment. Next Step’s sober living environments offer a comfortable, home-like environment with cozy common areas and rooms shared with 1 other roommate.
Next Step Recovery is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts most private insurance.
