Magnolia Mill School is one of the leading trauma centers for teens and offers a specialized approach to initiate and complete the healing process. Trauma-focused interventions can include trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, and DBT. In addition, they offer a robust adventure therapy program. Adventure therapies can include hiking to nearby waterfalls, paddle-boarding, camping trips, and mountain biking. Magnolia Mill School puts a strong emphasis on family therapy-based intervention, nutrition, physical fitness, and academics. As one of the leading therapy boarding schools, they have designed their academic program to meet the students where they are and to help them develop an individualized academic plan. A typical day involves morning breakfast followed by a work out session. Afternoons involve school classes, therapy groups, and free time. Evenings are set for chores, freetime, reflection, and journaling.
