About Lake House Academy
Lake House Academy is a therapeutic boarding school for adolescent girls ages 12-16, providing academic support, research-backed therapies, and family counseling. Their staff members are qualified to handle a variety of behavioral and mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), grief, and academic-based troubles, among others.With an on-site accredited school, students engage in academic coursework, individual and group therapy, experiential activities, and enjoy plenty of free time to explore hobbies and the lakeside property they reside on. Students take courses in math, science, language arts, history, and can choose from a variety of electives.
Family systems interventions are a key component of the tailored therapy method used by Lake House. They aim to repair the family relationships and dynamics through this method Using family systems therapy, they provide evidence-based tools and interventions to strengthen the family bond and attachment. Family sessions take place on a weekly basis via video conference and they also provide quarterly family workshops to engage the family unit as a whole to promote healing and growth.
