About La Amistad Behavioral Health Services
La Amistad offers a full continuum of care near Orlando, Florida. They provide treatment programs for psychiatric issues, substance use disorder, and dual diagnosis treatment. La Amistad has specialty programs for adolescents, adults, and military personnel. The adolescents program is designed to serve individuals ages 12-17 with serious behavioral, emotional, family, school, and social problems. They offer day treatment, partial hospitalization, and residential care. Strong family involvement is recommended, and La Amistad encourages family therapy, frequent family visits, and telephone calls. La Amistad uses a behavioral health level system that reinforces positive feedback and encourages progress. Treatment is highly individualized, and components include medications management, individual and group therapy, trauma-specific therapy, play therapy, equine therapy, music therapy, adventure therapy, and parenting classes. La Amistad employs a compassionate team of professionals and also provides a fully accredited school on-site.
The program is located in Maitland, Florida, just minutes from Orlando. La Amistad believes that clients should experience progress in an environment that is comfortable and inviting rather than cold and clinical. The campus provides home-like accommodations, an on-site pool, outdoor lounge area, and volleyball courts. La Amistad is accredited by the Joint Commission and accepts most private insurance.

Provider's Policy:La Amistad Behavioral Health Services accepts private pay and all major insurance coverage. We strive to be cost-effective in delivering the highest standard of care while working closely with patients, their families, agency representatives, insurance companies and managed care groups in determining all payment options available. Most insurance companies have established contracts with us, including TRICARE®, formerly known as CHAMPUS* for partial hospitalization (12 and older) and intensive outpatient (ages 14 and older). Our business office will assist families and professionals in working with their insurance companies to certify the client for treatment. Private pay rates can be discussed as requested.
