HIllside Horizon provides residential treatment for adolescents ages 12-17 struggling with ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. Hillside saw a need and set out to establish a secure and calm place for teens and their families to learn, grow, and heal in light of the present global situation. Their mission is simple yet effective; to equipe teens and their families with healthy coping skills that are relevant for today. Hillside Horizon accomplishes this mission by providing a robust residential program that offers guidance for the families and creative therapies for the young adult. The 30-90 day program blends evidence-based therapies with holistic services by providing individual counseling, trauma-specific therapy, art and music therapy, adventure therapy, Reiki, yoga and so much more. Hillside Horizon understands and every situation is unique and their personalized treatment plans cater to the unique needs of the individual.
The Hillside Horizon setting is truly one-of-a-kind. Boys and girls are housed separately on the gorgeous Sunset Beach in Lake Canyon, California. With picturesque views of the nearby mountains and an on-site lake, teens will have plenty of opportunities to paddle-board, swim, and explore all the area has to offer. With adventure therapy playing a key role in recovery, teens will also enjoy adventure outings like kayaking, camping, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, and skiing.
