Since 1982, the program has provided a staffed residential facility where participants engage in activities designed to develop skills necessary for healthy, self-sufficient lives.

The program also includes on-site nursing services 24 hours a week and psychiatric consultations, with coordination between psychiatric and other medical professionals. Each participant receives individualized care planning, and the average stay is approximately 90 days.
The goal of Hiawatha Hall is to equip individuals with vital life skills and coping techniques, enabling them to manage their unique challenges and achieve self-sufficiency.
