About Hensley House
A men-only sober living program in Austin, Texas, Hensley House is built on the belief that the opposite of addiction isn't just sobriety, but connection, purpose, and accountability. More than a typical sober living home, it offers a structured, accountable environment full of laughter, where residents work, attend meetings, build relationships with sponsors, and take responsibility for themselves and the house while learning to live life on life's terms.
Build a Meaningful Life in Community
Hensley House was built to be the kind of place the team would want their own brother, son, or best friend to live while getting serious about sobriety. Residents take responsibility for themselves and one another within a brotherhood that expects the best and refuses to let anyone settle for less. The goal is simple: to help good men become great men.
Rediscover Fun in Recovery
One of the biggest lies addiction tells is that life without drugs or alcohol is boring, and Hensley House sets out to prove otherwise. Residents regularly get out of the house for sporting events, concerts, fishing and hunting trips, TopGolf, bowling, arcades, movies, and spontaneous adventures, rediscovering genuine fun without needing to be intoxicated. On-site, men have access to two swimming pools, a fitness center, and three recreation rooms, plus a Gold's Gym membership included in the program. Utilities, linens, and household supplies are all provided, so residents can focus on building a life they don't want to escape from.
