About Greystone Program
Located on the wooded 100-acre grounds of Friends Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia, this residential program offers a home-like setting for adults with severe and persistent behavioral health challenges. Since 1980, it has helped residents build independence and improve quality of life through nutritious meals, recreational activities, and 24/7 access to psychiatric and emergency care. Permanent residence is available for those needing ongoing support.
Residents receive individualized treatment from a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors. Services include medication management, therapy, and support for daily living activities like hygiene, food preparation, and socialization. Family involvement is encouraged to support recovery. The program accommodates both short-term and long-term stays in a safe, non-locked environment with access to the expansive hospital grounds.
