About The Granite House
Granite House provides a distinctive continuum of care, taking clients from medical detox to independent sober life. The patient's recovery process often starts out with detox and residential services at their Green Mountain Treatment Center. From there, patients can transfer to Granite House, an independent sober living home in Derry, New Hampshire. Homes are gender specific, treating men and women separately.
Treatment at Granite House starts off with an early morning wake-up call followed by meditation, shared housework, and breakfast. After that, patients have meetings with their individual therapist or group therapy conducted by recovery staff. On the weekends, clients can participate in group activities, visit with family, attend sessions for recovery, and have movie nights.
Granite House strives to provide a comfortable home-like atmosphere. Bedrooms are shared with 1 other roommate and on-site yoga is offered, plus off-site 12-Step meetings and activities. Their homes are located close to downtown and a short drive away from beautiful hiking trails.
