About Grandma's House Family Involvement Center
Established in 2021 as an extension of Flint Odyssey House, Grandma’s House continues a strong commitment to supporting families. Focused on outpatient care, including an intensive outpatient program (IOP), the center serves pregnant and parenting adults, along with their children and adolescents, while they recover from substance use. It blends expert guidance with family-centered support to create lasting change.
The center offers individual, group, and family counseling, along with recovery coaching and parenting classes. Services also include prevention programming that strengthen families and support long-term recovery. With 3 clinicians, recovery coach, and a program coordinator, clients receive the support and skills needed to restore stability and hope.
Warm and welcoming, Grandma’s House features a small cozy space for child care and an indoor-outdoor library nook. Decorated with thrifted furniture that echoes the comfort of a grandparent’s home, the center also includes a kitchen and oven for family life skills. Outside, a community garden invites families to plant, grow, and learn—nurturing connection, responsibility, and a sense of home.
