About Fenix Recovery
Located on the water in beautiful West Palm Beach Florida, Fenix recovery offers trauma-informed substance use treatment. Palm trees surround the comfortable property, with access to an outdoor lounge area and green space. Fenix Recovery’s continuum of care includes residential treatment, intensive outpatient, day treatment, and outpatient programs to fit individual needs.
As part of a holistic approach, clients participate in individual and group therapy, adventure therapy, physical fitness, and life skills building. Individual therapy includes treatment planning, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help challenge negative thoughts and prevent relapse, trauma-informed therapy, and aftercare planning with the aim of lasting recovery. Group sessions are 60-90 minutes, led by a therapist seeking to create an open, judgment-free environment with meaningful discussions and opportunities to share and hear diverse perspectives. Life skills training includes communication, stress management, healthy decision making, budgeting and financial planning, nutritious cooking, managing responsibilities at home, career building, and community engagement. Sessions include instruction, discussion, and application through exercises like mock job interviews, cooking classes, conversation role-playing, and budgeting practice. Fitness training, like yoga, strength training, and cardio, led by trained instructors helps reduce stress and anxiety as well as increase mindfulness. Adventure therapy including activities like kayaking, hiking, and ropes courses helps regulate emotions, improve self-esteem, and encourages perseverance and resilience.
