About Caz Recovery Unity House
Caz Recovery Unity House is a residential, community-style living recovery facility for adult men struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Their location on Buffalo’s east side can serve up to 24 men and offers reintegration services by connecting residents with outpatient mental health and substance abuse treatment, primary and specialty medical care, and educational or vocational support. They specialize in providing care for adult men who are chemically-dependent on drugs or alcohol and struggling with or at-risk of homelessness.
Caz Recovery works individually with each client to determine their personal recovery goals and unique treatment needs. The length of each patient's stay varies from a couple of weeks to a couple of months or longer depending on the specific client's care plan. In addition to reintegration, clients will participate in individual and group therapy sessions and receive holistic and trauma-informed care. Services include daily life skills education, case management services, and relapse prevention planning, as the program promotes self-help and independence.
Unity House is 100% handicap accessible and offers semi-private living spaces, on-site meals, a recreational area for organized group activities, and is conveniently located on a major bus-route with alternative transportation that may be provided. Their program is certified by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports to provide reintegration services, and is overseen by the Erie County Department of Mental Health.
