About Cammack Childrens Center
Cammack Children’s Center is a Level II therapeutic group home that helps boys and girls ages 12 to 17 who are in the custody of West Virginia’s Department of Health and Human Resources. They specialize in treating youth with emotional or behavioral challenges who need a safe and structured place to stay long-term. What makes Cammack stand out is its deep roots in the community and its long history of helping kids since 1914.
The center uses a team-based approach to care, offering therapies like individual and group counseling, family support, psychiatric services, and more. Each child receives a personalized treatment plan that helps them heal, learn new skills, and get ready to return to a family setting. Their on-site school, medical care, and work programs also help youth stay on track and feel supported in every part of life.
At Cammack, kids live in a supportive and structured home environment where staff are available 24/7. The center has its own school for credit recovery, fun recreation spaces, and even a summer program. Youth are cared for by nurses, counselors, and other professionals who help them feel safe and supported as they work toward a brighter future.
