Newport Healthcare offers specialized mental health treatment for children, teens, young adults, and their families. With a mission to create hope, sustainable healing, and resilience, Newport helps young people address depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and other challenges. Programs focus on the root causes of emotional pain—not just the symptoms—to support long-term well-being. With a full continuum of care at locations nationwide, Newport partners with major insurers to help families access high-quality care that’s also affordable.Growing Care for a Growing CrisisNewport Healthcare began in 2008 as a six-bed residential program for teen girls in Orange County, California. It has since grown into a nationwide response to rising mental health needs. As demand increased, Newport expanded to other locations with high rates of mental health concerns and limited access to care. They also broadened services to support children ages 7–11, adolescents ages 12–18, and young adults ages 18–35. With each new location, Newport advances its mission to bring healing and hope to families in crisis.Four Programs, One MissionNewport’s network includes four distinct programs. Newport Academy serves children and teens with treatment that integrates therapy, academics, and family involvement. Newport Institute helps young adults move into the next stage of their lives with confidence and optimism. The Center for Families strengthens family dynamics through education and support. PrairieCare provides a full spectrum of psychiatric services in Minnesota. Together, these programs reflect Newport’s commitment to treatment across the lifespan.Where Research, Practice, and Progress AlignNewport’s Center for Research and Innovation is shaping the future of behavioral health by collecting and analyzing outcomes data, developing new protocols, and partnering with academic institutions. This work informs both individualized care and organization-wide program design—ensuring Newport’s model remains effective, measurable, and responsive to evolving mental health needs.
